ASTM D2000, SAE J200 Type/Class: BF, BG, BK, CH
General Temperature Range: -40°F to +225°F
Advantages:
- Lower relative cost
- Easily produced
- Abrasion wear resistance
- Low temperature
- EP gear lube compatible
- General oil resistance
- Has good solvent, oil, water and hydraulic fluid resistance.
- Good compression set, abrasion resistance and tensile strength.
Disadvantages:
- Limited upper temperature capabilities
- Not recommended for using in highly polar solvents such as acetone, and MEK, ozone, chlorinated hydrocarbons and nitro hydrocarbons.
Applications:
- Oil resistant applications
- Low temperature applications
- Fuel systems, automotive, marine, and aircraft
- General Industrial Use
